  • Growth and physical characterization of chalcogenide materials.
  • Synthesis of standard CIGS photovoltaic cells by co-evaporation in three stages. Characterization of optical and electrical performances (IV, EQE) and imaging by electron microscopy.
  • Growth of CGS cells in one stage for indoor applications (2 eV gap, shunt resistance optimization).
  • Epitaxy of lamellar selenides (GaSe, InSe, In2Se3) and study of phase diagrams. Optical characterization (transmission, PL).
  • Growth of boron nitride by the metal flux method. Identification of boron nitride polytypes (hexagonal, rhombohedral, turbostratic) by X-ray diffraction.
  • Ab initio calculation of band diagrams and phonon dispersions of BN polytypes. Study of isotopic responses.
Scanning electron microscope image of a thin film of CuGaSe ([Cu]/[Ga]=0.77) co-evaporated on a Mo/glass substrate. It reveals the segregation of the CuGaSe2 et CuGa3Se5 phases.
