Functionalized nanomaterials

This research topic focuses on studying the structure and physical or physicochemical properties of complex bulk materials composed partly of carbon or similar micro- or nanoparticles.

It is motivated by environmental concerns. The two materials being studied in particular are bitumen and polymer/carbon fibre composites; the former for its viscoelastic properties and recyclability, the latter for its insulating properties and use in high-voltage devices.
